October 28th, 2009 marks Global Pink Hijab Day in remembrance and most importantly support of Breast Cancer Victims, Survivors and their loved ones.
If you have a active membership on facebook, then be sure to add Pink Hijab Day to your facebook via the “fan” option.
Muslimahs, check your breasts often! Do not wait until your annual checkups to be told that there could be concern.
The best way to find breast lumps is to do 3 things:
Schedule annual/frequent mammograms with your Physician, keeping in mind that starting at age 40 approx. you will need to increase from 1-2 examinations.
Self examinations are very important as it is our bodies and we need to take control and stay/remain aware of what could be happening from within.
Speak to your relatives to obtain family history in regards to this disease and create a list to bring to your next Doctors appointment.
    Doing all of these things gives you the best chance to find cancer as early as you can/possible. Finding breast cancer early makes treatment much easier and more effective insha’Allah.
