HalfDate is a Sadaqah (good cause) promotion service.

The name HalfDate is inspired by the teaching of the Prophet Muhammad (peace and prayer be upon him) where he called us to be part of the solution even if our contribution is as small as half a date, or a pleasant word.

اتقوا النار ولو بشق تمرة ، فمن لم يجد فبكلمة طيبة
“Save yourself from the (Hell) Fire even with half a date (to be given in charity). And if you do not find, then with a good pleasant word.” – Collected by Al-Bukhari
